Percy books ticket for Pertemps Final

Presenting Percy has connections dreaming of a repeat win in the Pertemps Network Final after taking the At The Races Handicap Hurdle in convincing fashion at Fairyhouse.
The same owner, trainer and rider combination of Philip Reynolds, Pat Kelly and Davy Russell landed the staying handicap hurdle with Mall Dini at Cheltenham last year, and Presenting Percy is now the general 8/1 second favourite for that Festival target behind Tobefair.
The six-year-old cruised to the front two out, and Russell sat pretty motionless as the well-backed 2/1 favourite came home an easy three and a quarter lengths ahead of That’s A Wrap. Carrig Cathal was a further four and three quarter lengths back in third.
Russell was enjoying some compensation after losing the opening Grade 3 Winning Fair Juvenile Hurdle on Ex Patriot in the stewards room.
