The finish to the Tramore Racecourse Supporters Club Maiden Hurdle at Tramore today was fought out by two 33/1 shots with victory in the end going to the Mick Cullen trained War Of The Pennys providing amateur rider Eddie Keating with a first racecourse winner.
The son of Presenting moved past fellow 33/1 'rag' Missed Cloud at the final flight before recording a three lengths win over that rival.
Cullen later commented "he kind of surprised me as we were just seeing how he'd get on today on the ground but he absolutely loved it.
“He's a three parts brother to War Of Attrition but we won't be aiming that high and he'll go for a novice hurdle somewhere. He got a lovely ride from Eddie."
Keating, 23 from New Ross was partnering his first track winner having ridden three point-to-point winners.
