Partner continues Marnane's run
David Marnane has enjoyed another fine year with his horses and his Partner was winner number 20, in Ireland, for the Co Tipperary trainer, in the Kanturk Handicap at Cork today.
Ridden by Emmet McNamara, the son of Indian Ridge raced prominently throughout before moving through to lead over a furlong out, eventually recording a length and three parts success.
Afterwards Marnane stated “between Ireland, Britain and France that was my 22nd winner of the year and things have gone very well. Partner struggled to get his ground all year but has run well when the ground is good – he may go for a 6f handicap at Dundalk next.”
