Parliament Square off the mark
Parliament Square and Joseph O'Brien quicken away at Fairyhouse

Parliament Square belatedly shed his maiden tag in the opening six furlong two-year-old maiden at Fairyhouse, as Joseph O’Brien drove him past Monakova (7/1) in the last 200 yards for a four and a half length win.
The Aidan O’Brien-trained colt was beaten at odds of 1/4 in Naas four days ago on heavy ground, but he made no mistake on today’s soft going.
He was sent off at 4/9 today, based on his fifth place in the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot in June.
Brady’s Hill came in third of the seven runners, beaten 12 lengths by the winner. Beau Sakhee was pulled up and dismounted in the final furlong as his saddle slipped.
Joseph O’Brien said: “He’s improving with racing and hopefully he’ll keep going. He’ll have no problem stepping up to Listed or Group company.”
