Willie Mullins registered a 1-2-3 in the featured Grade 2 Greenmount Park Novice Chase
at Limerick today, winning not with long odds-on favourite (2/5) Felix Yonger but with 5/1 second favourite The Paprazzi Kid.
Emmett Mullins, nephew of the winning trainer, was on board winner The Paparazzi Kid who made all and stayed on well from the last for a length and a half win over Felix Yonger.
Trainer Mullins was at Leopardstown and was recording his third winner of the afternoon (two wins at Limerick and one in Dublin), but jockey Mullins later stated “I fancied The Paparazzi Kid to finish second to Felix Yonger and knew that if things didn't go right for him, I'd have a chance.
“It wasn't the plan to make the running but he winged the first and landed in front. He was electric everywhere and I was able to fill him up turning in. He is improving all the time and loves that ground.”
Bookmakers www.racebets.com later introduced The Paparazzi Kid at 16/1 for the Jewson Chase at Cheltenham in March.
