Outlaw quick to draw over flights
Accidental Outlaw (7s in the morning into 3s), a beaten market-leader three times on the level, made a quicker impact at the jumping game by getting off the mark at the second effort over flights in the opening Go Racing In Kildare Festival 3-y-o Maiden Hurdle at Punchestown.
Mark Walsh’s mount jumped the last well where Bun Oir and Ember Jack weren't so good and the Charles O'Brien-trained winning favourite went away to beat the aforementioned Bun Oir by four and a half lengths.
Frank Berry, representing the winning owner, J P McManus, said: "He didn't jump wonderful but he learned from Clonmel. He came home well and jumped the last well. We'll find a winners race for him now."
