The Michael Hourigan trained Our Man Zebo landed John J. Galvin Handicap Hurdle at Listowel today, coming out ahead in blanket finish to the three miles contest.
The national hunt handicapper can draw plenty satisfaction from the 17 runner race with little more than a length separating the first six finishers, with Our Man Zebo, under Barry Geraghty, edging ahead close home for a half length win over Some Hawk The distances separating the leading half dozen were half a length, a nose, neck, neck and short head.
Hourigan later stated “the ground was too soft for him at Punchestown and that's his ground. Barry gave him a great ride and he'll go chasing now; I think he's a fair horse. ”
