Oscar Justifies Support
Brian Hamilton's Chief Oscar ran out a well-backed winner (5/2 into 7/4) of division two of the Saintfield Window Systems Maiden Hunters Chase, making all in the hands of J D Moore to account for Cute N'Smooth by seventeen lengths.
Winner of two point-to-points in the recent past, Hamilton now has Aintree as a long term goal for the Robert Donaldson-owned Oscar seven-year-old. Marginal favourite for this contest, Having A Cut (pulled up before three out) was found to be lame. (EM)
