Tara Cogan bridged a gap going back to the summer of 2009 when Oiche Maith ran out an authoritative winner of the final race of the season at Kilbeggan, the Athlone INH Flat Race.
The Indian River gelding, ridden again by Damian Skehan, had been tight for room before the turn-in when third behind Sheamus here over the course and distance on August 22nd.
Today left in front after about a mile when second favourite Notorious Villain ran out, Oiche Maith (8s into 7s) went clear in the final half mile.
Skehan, in the well-known John James colours of Cogan's mother, Monica, was carried to an easy twenty length victory by the successful seven-year-old.
Jockey Andrew Leigh, representing Miss Cogan, said: "Tara is on holidays in America. I help her out and she trains in Moone.
"She's had winners before with the likes of Schindler's Pearl." (AM & EM)
