Odds-on Neon Soul scores for Lyons & Carroll

The 8/15 favourite Neon Soul was a workmanlike winner of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Race in the hands of Gary Carroll.
The Kodiac colt, runner-up in his previous two outings at the Curragh and Navan, was blinkered for his all-weather debut and was prominent throughout.
He took over from the front-running J J Jumbo (5/1) inside the final quarter mile but found it difficult to repel the renewed effort of the latter and just about got the job done by a head with the front pair well clear of their three rivals.
The 80-rated winner was getting off the mark at the fifth time of asking.
Shane Lyons, assistant to winning triner Ger Lyons, said: “He’s a consistent horse and they have pulled 12 lengths clear of the third. It’s nice to win a winners’ race.
“He’ll go home now and we’ll let him strengthen up over the winter. He’ll be campaigned over five and six next year. He’s earned his break now.”
