The Joseph O’Brien trained, J.P. McManus owned Oathkeeper under Barry Geraghty, had little difficulty justifying long odds-on 2/9 favouritism in the Ladbrokes Ireland Maiden Hurdle at Killarney today, winning easily on his hurdle debut.
Following the success O’Brien stated “he is a lovely horse and always worked well at home.
“He jumped well and a race is still a race. He’ll go for a novice hurdle next although Galway might come too soon for him.”
