Darragh O’Keeffe produced another brilliant ride to win the featured Rockshore Cider Handicap Hurdle on the well-supported Mon Storm (as big as 10s in the morning, 5s into 7/2 on course).

He drove Victor Wilson’s gelding through on the inside of Decor Irlandais (6/1) after the last to win by half a length, with the locally-trained Pump Road (3/1 fav) close up in third another length and three quarters away.

The winning rider has had twelve winners from forty rides within the last three weeks, and they include two winners at 10/1, another at 12/1 and one at 25/1. Here he was completing a 48.5/1 double after his win in the previous race on Dollar Value

The winning trainer Victor Wilson, based in Ballynahinch, County Down, said : “That’s hard on the heart!

“The distance today helped him and the light weight. My son (Scott) does all the work with him.

“The lad’s a good jockey and bided his time. It’s a nice pot to get.”
