After Simon Torrens in the previous contest, Paddy O'Hanlon was another rider to ride a second winner on the card when the Dermot McLoughlin-trained Lady Iseult stepped up on previous efforts to take the 2m4f handicap hurdle at 14/1.
A second winner of the evening sired by Dylan Thomas, the seven-year-old mare, who made her debut only three months ago, tracked the leaders before moving into contention at the third-last. She had a good tussle from the second-last to the line with the always-handy Eaton Lady and found plenty under pressure to thwart that rival by half a length. The 5/2 favourite Kells Priory was a further two and three quarter lengths back in third.
O'Hanlon, whose earlier winner was the odds-on Weddell Sea said: “I got a good jump at the second last and it was a good battle between me and Conor Orr. I was a bit tight into the last and in fairness to her she's galloped well to the line, even a step up in trip would be no bother.
“She had been running well in maidens and it was a bit my fault the last day, I fell off her.
“Thankfully she's got the job done there and Brian (Beggan) is a nice owner so I'm delighted for him.”
