It was 15/8 bar two in the Live Casino At 188BET E.B.F. Fillies Maiden (Plus 10 Race) but 14/1 chance Glenmayne (Jessica Harrington/Colm O'Donoghue) popped up to give the layers a result in the second event at Limerick.
Odds-on chance Creme De La was always to the fore in the mile contest, but she couldn't fend off Glenmayne, a daughter of Duke Of Marmalade having her first start since October.
Glenmayne nipped through on the inner inside the final furlong and got up close home to gain the day.
"She was good and has improved from last year. She was very unlucky at Dundalk and wants stepping up in trip," said Mrs Harrington.
"That's Colm's first winner for me and it's great for (owner) Francis Jennings who also bred her and she's from a great family."
W.J. Lee, rider of Retinal trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stood in the stalls.
