O'Donoghue Foot Perfect in Navan opener
The Lynn Lodge Stud EBF Median Auction Maiden saw a convincing winner in the Dave Marnane trained Foot Perfect
Foot Perfect, ridden by Colm O’Donoghue was in front early and forged clear inside the final furlong to score by three lengths.
The Footprintsinthesand filly is owned by Willie Robinson a top jockey in the 1950’s and 60’s who is most famous for partnering Mill House to win the 1963 Cheltenham Gold Cup.
Winning jockey O’Donoghue stated: “She got very upset in the stalls the last day at Dundalk and lashed out and cut her leg.”
“They didn’t go much of a pace and she was happy to sit out in front she quickened up from over three and stayed on well.”
“Dave [Marnane] thought a lot of her and I’m delighted it worked out.”
