O'Briens not for beating in these bumpers

Oathkeeper was a second winner on the evening at Roscommon for J P McManus, after Riviera Sun s victory in the second for Henry de Bromhead, as Aidan and Sarah O'Brien's recent domination of the bumper scene continued unabated in the Ladies Day At Roscommon On July 6th Flat Race.
The Ballydoyle family's score now stands at five winners and a short-head defeat from their last six attempts in the sphere, and this Oathkeeper (a well-backed 11/4 favourite) was well-touted to make a winning bow.
Himself, and the Willie and Patrick Mullins hope, Prince D'Aubrelle settled down to battle it out up the straight. It was Oathkeeper that proved much the stronger inside the last as he passed the post five and a half lengths to the good.
"He's a nice horse and he looked it there, Joseph liked him at home. I'd imagine he'll go for a winners bumper now maybe at Galway," said Aidan O'Brien.
This marked a 15th career win for Sarah O'Brien.
