Elusive Tune (18/1 - 12s) was the supported winner of Dundalk's €22,000 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Race today, scoring on her second career start, for trainer Joseph O'Brien and jockey Mikey Sheehy.
Homebred by the O'Brien family's Whisperview Trading Ltd, the daughter of Sioux Nation finished sixth on debut last month and today quickened from mid-field to eventually beat runner-up Blue News by two lengths.
Jockey Sheehy said "she has done it well, in fairness to her, from a wide draw. I was probably a little bit further back than I would have liked, but we were going along and I got a nice tow into the race.
"In fairness to her, she quickened up nicely and put the race to bed well. She's not overly big but is tough. I won on her (half) brother, Swift One last year and he wasn't over big as well.
"She has got the right attitude and she has the will to win.
"I think stepping up in trip will suit and I think she would enjoy a bit of an ease in the ground on turf as well."
