Lethal Steps and Davy Russell

In much the same way as was the case in race one, the market was spot on with a previously slightly frustrating type in the second event at Sligo. Lethal Steps (2/5) took this Taylor Construction And Civil Works Maiden Hurdle at his ease.
At the eighth attempt over flights, Lethal Steps, useful on the Flat, put his stamp on this extended two mile one furlong contest from the second last. Morning Skye ran well for second, but he was six and a half lengths back at the line. There was two and a quarter lengths then to Cobaltic in third.
Winning rider Davy Russell said on the four-year-old, 3rd at Fairyhouse 5 days back: “He enjoyed the ground and I suppose there is a race for them all. He had that winter form coming into faster ground.”
Gordon Elliott has care of Lethal Steps for Cheveley Park Stud.
