No Debate as Late storms home
Late Debate caused a 20/1 shock when taking the 47-75 rated ten furlong handicap in fine style under Niall McCullagh.
The American-bred colt had failed to trouble the judge in six previous starts but put that right in no uncertain terms here when storming clear from the furlong pole to score by five lengths.
Runner-up Fairylike the subject of a major punt from 12/1 this morning and hammered again on track from 13/2 down to 7/2, got going far too late under David McCabe.
Trainer Jim Bolger was represented by his travelling head lad Ger Flynn, who said: “That horse was bought in America. He's been a bit frustrating but we've found the key to him now – fast ground.”
