- Myrine delights Ryan at Wexford
Myrine delights Ryan at Wexford
Myrine delivered in style for her owner Michael Ryan (his friends Karl Casey & Eamon Griffin were also in attendance) in the opening Gorey Race at Wexford as she scored by a very easy ten lengths under Kevin Manning.
The 7/4 favourite travelled well to lead two furlongs and the very well bred daughter of Sadler's Wells was soon clear as she went on to account for Easy Mate (off the bridle from halfway).
Manning wasn't getting carried in the aftermath as he remarked that it probably wasn't the greatest race in world.
The Jim Bolger-trained 240,000 guineas yearling will make a wonderful addition to the broodmare ranks in time given her breeding as she is a half-sister to Sagamix and Sagacity.
She has now won two of her four starts after taking her maiden at Ballinrobe in July by a distance.
