Myerscough and Beggy in form
The Derrinstown Stud Apprentice Maiden was won by the 7/4 favourite of Dave Myerscough's Keyala owned by the Bull & Bear Syndicate and ridden by Padraig Beggy.
Beggy raced his mount in behind the leaders, improved to lead from over 1f out and kept on well to hold off the efforts of Caherassdotcom ridden by Shane Foley by a neck.
Dave Myerscough trainer said, "The winner is owned by the Bull & Bear syndicate who are owned by a group who all work for Goodbody Stockbrokers. I'm glad of the win tonight as my finace Stephanie manages the syndicate and she wasn't happy that the horse hadn't won! She was entitled to win here being the highest rated filly in the race. She was unlucky here in a handicap two weeks ago, I just hope the handicapper won't be too hard on her."
