My Midnight and Cathal Landers readily took the honours in the mares' maiden hurdle which got Kilbeggan's card under way.
The Shantou mare tracked front-running Robin Des Sivola throughout before a slick jump took her into the lead four out.
The 6/4 favourite. went four lengths clear of that rival after the next flight and tanked her way home.
There was still a good three lengths between her and a tiring Robin Des Sivola at the last where the latter fell.
My Midnight was left to come in clear by 13 lengths from a gambled-on More Info (4/1 from 15/2). Little Lady Lu was a further 10 lengths adrift in third.
Andrew Slattery trained the winner who had been placed in eight of her previous 11 races, so she wasn't winning out of turn.
