Course specialist Hes Our Music broke through the E100,000 prizemoney mark at Dundalk today when claiming his eighth win, and his seventh at the Co Louth track, in the Dundalk Stadium Claiming Race.
Ridden by Champion Jockey Pat Smullen, the son of Oratorio made all for a length win over Toccata Blue
Winning trainer Pat Flynn wasn’t present but Smullen, who partnered the gelding on his first win at Dundalk in 2012, later said “he’s an amazing old horse and loves the surface. Coming back in trip was never going to be an issue for him and to be honest I thought he had a great chance again tonight.
“Pat (Flynn) was very happy with him beforehand and he’s always going to be competitive in that level of race. He’s a grand horse for those races and was well placed by Pat.”
