Mullins Doubles Up
Emmet Mullins rode his first double as a professional (he had one in the amateur ranks at the Punchestown Festival last year) when Mustangsallyrally followed up the earlier success of The Midnight Club
Mustangsallyrally, trained by Emmet's uncle, Tom, headed Haakaiser before the last and had enough in reserve to go on and prevail over that one by one and a quarter lengths in the handicap chase. There was a distance back to the third-placed favourite, An Peinteir
Mustangsallyrally was gaining his second win at Fairyhouse, having took a handicap hurdle here, also under Emmet, back in December. He also rode the Mister Lord gelding to his two other wins. (EM)
