It looked easy early on but the layers got another result in the finale, the Racing At Punchestown Tomorrow (Pro/Am) Flat Race when Mr Boss Man held on from the odds-on Bosman Rule
'Nibbled-at' this morning outsider, Thornfield made a bold bid from the front in this two miler and both he and the winner had the rest on the stretch from before the straight.
From over furlong out Mrs Boss Man got on top. Inside the last Kicking King's half-brother Bosman Rule hit full stride along the rail but he still went down by half a length at the finish.
Frances Slevin trains Mr Boss Man for her father Camillus, her brother Nigel did the steering and she disclosed: "I've three in at the moment. This fella had a nice first run (fifth at Roscommon in July) and came on well from that."
Bosman Rule, trained by Willie Mullins, is owned by Philip Reynolds and he also had Lo Siento (9/2 into 7/2) but he faded to finish ninth. (AM & EM)
