Moyglare second wins Leopardstown maiden

Last year's Moyglare Stakes runner-up and 104 rated Scintillula somewhat belatedly lost her maiden tag at Leopardstown today, easily winning the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden for most of Dawn Approach's connections.
Ridden by Kevin Manning, the daughter of Galileo went well clear of Belle De Crecy inside the final furlong for an easy two and a half lengths win.
Winning trainer Jim Bolger later stated “the better ground helped and she is probably just coming to herself now. She may not have been in that sort of order back in April (well beaten in a maiden) and while is entered in the Irish Oaks, I don't know how far she will stay.”
