Cloudy Morning followed-up on his win at Clonmel on Thursday as he took the Casey Concrete Gorey Handicap Hurdle under Barry Browne for Declan Queally.
Eighth of twenty-five on his debut for Queally at Navan in September, the eight-year-old son of Cloudings was just denied by For Sinead on his next start at Thurles.
The bay gelding then recorded his second career success at Clonmel, and he was sent off the 5/2 favourite to follow-up today.
Settled in mid-division he took closer order with a circuit to race, and jumped three out in third. He hit the front on the approach to the straight, and kept up the gallop under pressure from the last, going on to score by two lengths. Tb Broke Her (4/1) kept on nicely in the straight, and she finished second under Donagh Meyler for Arthur Moore, while the fourteen-year-old Give Us A Hand was five and a half lengths back in third at 50/1.
Barry Browne said afterwards: "He is a hardy bit of stuff and Declan has really done a good job with him. He has had three quick runs in the space of two weeks.
"I only got the call to ride him the other morning, Declan wanted to claim seven off him after he got the winners penalty."
