The Ger Lyons trained Mordanmijobsworth overcame some uninspiring form figures (0990) to land a maiden win in the OnePlace IT Supporting Naas Hurdling Handicap at Naas today, scoring under Colin Keane.
The son of Clodovil went nine runs without success prior to today but Lyons later explained “he has all the ability but the blinkers and the fast ground have been the makings of him. Gary Carroll said he got murdered the last day at Leopardstown and he told the boys then he'd win the next day.”
He added “the three year old handicap he ran at The Curragh (won by Britannia Stakes winner Roca Tuma) turned out to be a very good race.”
