Moore scores with Sole Bonne Femme
Robbie Colgan booted home Arthur Moore's Sole Bonne Femme to win The William Ewart Properties Handicap Hurdle in the colours of the E&T Fitzpatrick Partnership.
Winning trainer Moore said afterwards, "I'm delighted with that, everything worked out perfectly. He got a nice soft lead and Robbie [Colgan] let him stride along in front. Chasing is probably his game and we should probably go chasing sooner rather than later, but having won a pot like that, we might look for another hurdle race at Fairyhouse in a month's time.
The trainer also reported that, "We were a little bit worried about Meritorious beforehand but he trotted out to the parade ring sound. But Paddy [Flood] obviously felt he just wasn't happy at the start. He is slightly lame and hopefully it's just something minor."
