Monroe & Dunne take the last
On a day that one Galway trainer, David Ryan ended a lean spell, another handler from the capital of the West got back into the winner's enclosure after an absence, when John Monroe's Publicize took the Munster European Champions Novice Handicap Chase.
Robbie Dunne put up two pounds overweight on the Publisher gelding but the 16/1 shot was always travelling well and he jumped the last in good style before going away to beat the front-runner, Golden Kite by three lengths.
Monroe's most recent success had been when Stereophonic scored at Ballinrobe in May 2007. (EM)
