Moment crowned at Killarney again
Niall McCullagh recently ended a lean spell on Karasiyra in the Listed Lenebane Stakes and he was on the mark again at a lower level when Crowning Moment took the Killarney Avenue/Munster Joinery Handicap.
John Kiely 's daughter of Johannesburg led over a furlong out and she stayed on well to beat the unfortunate Aliceaneileen (hampered a furlong and a half out) by three parts of a length.
Kiely remarked of his six-year-old, gaining her fourth career success and second at the track: "We were hoping she'd run well. We put the blinkers on her because she'd been idling a bit in her races. She'll get a mile and a half looking at that."
