Miss Keller is Ulster Oaks Queen
The Ulster Derby yesterday went to the market-leading three-year-old Changingoftheguard and another of the classic generation that headed the betting, Miss Keller came home in front in the European Breeders Fund Coolmore Stud Ulster Oaks Fillies Handicap.
Fran Berry, who put up a pound overweight, got to the front on the daughter of Montjeu about two furlongs out and she displayed a commendable attitude to see off Timoca by a length and a quarter.
Berry said of the Clodagh McStay-owned, John Oxx-trained 9/2 shot: "The race worked out well for her and she ran on strong at the finish. The longer trip today helped and as a Montjeu the rain helped. She has room for improvement and I'm happy with her."
