Miedo comes good with cheek-pieces
Sin Miedo is clear at the last for Robbie Power

The application of cheek-pieces proved a revelation for Sin Miedo who broke his maiden tag in style by putting up a fine front-running performance in the opening 3YO maiden hurdle.
Robbie Power decided to press on after halfway on the son of Intikhab, and had all his rivals in trouble after 3 out.
The 13/2 chance kept on really well in the straight to beat Frozen North by an easy ten lengths with Windsor Queen a further length back in third.
Winning trainer Jessica Harrington said, “Robbie said to put cheek-pieces on him. At Thurles he wanted to do that but he was running around in front and not concentrating.
“I’ve always liked him and his jumping has got very slick. He jumped them into the ground. I’ll throw him into the deep end at Fairyhouse on Sunday (Grade 3 Bar One Racing 3YO Hurdle). He’s fit and well and will take his chance.”
