Red Giant was the second consecutive well backed winner of the day at Wexford today, landing the E25 Free Bet At 188BET Maiden Hurdle for trainer Noel Meade and stand-in stable jockey Sean Flanagan.
The son of Beneficial was backed from 6/1 this morning in to 5/2 favourite and was following the earlier win of well backed Bright Tomorrow
Flanagan was recording his ninth winner of the new season and his first for Meade this term, as he continues to replace sidelined Paul Carberry.
Meade wasn’t present and following Red Giant’s win, the jockey stated “he is a funny horse, he didn't travelled really. He travelled away early on, but half way down the back I was flat out and I gave him a slap - he was lairy enough when he got to the front.
"Chasing will be his game. He jumps really well and the further the better and will improve mentally."
