There is plenty to enjoy on the domestic front today with the €100,000 Kilmurray’s Homevalue Hardware Mullingar Midlands National taking centre stage at Kilbeggan this evening and also a big crowd is expected for Ladies Day at Dundalk this afternoon. Mousey Brown is bidding for a hat-trick over fences in the Midlands National and represents Ratoath trainer Dermot McLoughlin who won the Kilbeggan highlight with subsequent Irish National winner Freewheelin Dylan back in 2020.
Paddy O’Hanlon’s mount is at the top of the market around the 4/1 mark along with the Henry de Bromhead-trained Amirite while Gordon Elliott’s five runners include Salvador Ziggy and Duffle Coat
The feature goes to post at 7.55pm with an eight-race card getting underway at 4.25.
Following a dry 48 hours, the going at Kilbeggan is currently good, good to yielding in places. Watering continues at the midlands venue and the forecast is to remain dry today.
There is also an eight-race card at Dundalk with the action beginning at 1.25pm.
