McDonogh on the mark
Gypsy Rose from the Kevin Prendergast stable followed up on her recent win at Clonmel when she landed the Tramore Racecourse Supporters Club Handicap.
Prendergast’s charge travelled well to take up the lead from over two furlong out and ran on gamely despite tiring in the closing stages to hold on by half a length.
Winning jockey Declan McDonogh said: “She was brilliant around the bends, she was like a motorbike.”
“I’m sure she’ll go for something similar, she was out on her feet there so hopefully the handicapper won’t be too hard on her.”
McDonogh picked up a one day ban for using his whip with excessive frequency.
