Veteran French-rider Gerald Mosse, third on Sunday Star in a Group Three over at Newmarket earlier, landed the featured Listed Al Basti Equiworld Carlingford Stakes at Dundalk, on Ed Dunlop's Global Giant (11/10 favourite).
Mosse made his first visit to the County Louth venue a fortnight ago to finish second on the same horse.
Here Mosse showed all his guile as his mount edged a little to his right from over a furlong out, but in truth he was much the best in any case, seeing off Mazzuri and Massif Central by two and three parts of a length and three parts of a length.
"He really enjoyed the track. He was freshened up after his last race and he's come back fresh and happy. He deserved that," reported the successful pilot on the Dr Johnny Hon-owned Shamardal colt.
"When I pressed the button he answered and kept on well to the line. He was a bit keen early in the season but the more he raced the more he's relaxed."
