Marvel a tonic for O'Mara
Master Marvel s win in the Mulvihill Media Handicap at Killarney will have improved the spirits of winning trainer Thomond O'Mara, who is in hospital suffering from gall stones.
Master Marvel was given a typically strong drive from jockey Wayne Lordan, eventually getting his head in front close home for a neck win over Todaidhe.
O'Mara was represented by fellow trainer and neighbour Danny O'Connell, who joked “Thomond is in hospital and wanted to discharge himself last night, but the nurses wouldn't let him!”
