Marina looks nice winning on 2nd start
Vociferous Marina and Ronan Whelan assert in the Curragh opener

Vociferous Marina was backed from earlier fancy prices into a returned 14/1 for the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden (Plus 10 Race). On the back of a debut eighth placing, not devoid of promise at Gowran a week back, the Vocalised filly ran out a nice winner of the Curragh opener under Ronan Whelan.
An attractive sort, Vociferous Marina travelled up well and went for home from the furlong pole.
Favourite, Finn McCool had to switch around runners off the rail at around the same point.
The Ballydoyle hope chased Vociferous Marina inside the final furlong but he was never getting there and he was a length and three parts down at the line.
Winning trainer Jim Bolger also saddled the fourth home, Treaty Of Vienna and he said: "She ran well at Gowran and obviously stepped up from that. She goes on the ground which helps, and I'd say she will get a mile. She could run again this year."
