The maiden, Manuka was an unlucky loser in the Dundalk Stadium – Light Up Your Night Rated Race, but that'll matter little to supporters and connections of the winner, Atmospheric High
Ronan Whelan struck the front on Aileen and Eddie Lynam's Hurricane Run filly over a furlong out.
Tommy Carmody 's Manuka was switched to the outer from over a furlong out in order to secure a run.
That chestnut, with Johnny Murtagh up, came home strongly, but he failed by a neck to get to Atmospheric High.
In typical style Lynam remarked: "If she had two legs she'd be on the quays! I told Johnny (Murtagh) last week that I was running her in the rated race. He told me he couldn't ride her as he would be riding the winner!
"She ran well here the last day and on ratings she was entitled to win.
"Three wins in a year is good for her. She's a character. Sure it keeps the owner happy anyway!" (AM & EM)
