The McEnery Cup Handicap was won by Jim Bolger's Kitty Hawk Miss with Kevin Manning doing the steering in the colours of Mrs June Judd and Mrs J S Bolger.

Bolger said afterwards, 'She won her maiden on soft ground so obviously handles the soft ground. We might go to Tralee with her next week.'
