The Donal Kinsella owned, trained and bred Ducky Mallon lost his maiden tag at Gowran today, winning the Gowran Park Golf Club Handicap under Champion Jockey Pat Smullen.
The grey son of Jeremy was all out in the closing stages for a head win over Sofi's Spirit and afterwards Kinsella stated "he's a nice horse and we'll go again with him fairly soon.
"He's named after a well-known dance teacher from Belfast in the 1960's."
Dunleer, Co Louth based Kinsella was recording his first winner since King Of Oriel won a handicap hurdle at Punchestown in October 2013.
