Lyons Three
Trainer Ger Lyons saddled three winners at Dundalk today, providing stable jockeys Keegan Latham, Emmett McNamara and "world's best rider" Johnny Murtagh a winner apiece.
Lyons got things rolling with Kinetic Quest under McNamara in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Auction Maiden before doubling up half an hour later with Dohasa in the BAR ONE Racing Handicap, under Latham.
Murtagh completed the hat-trick of wins in the most valuable race of the day, the E60,000 Irish Stallion Farms on Lyons' Fiery Lad
Murtagh came in for strong praise from Lyons who, following the win, stated "its rides like that that make Johnny the best rider in the world. Johnny told me, following his last run at Newmarket, that Fiery Lad is a very good horse and he was right!"
He added "Fiery Lad definately wont run on heavy ground and we'll just take it race to race for the moment but he'll make a Stakes horse next year."
