Lynam/Smullen score at Dundalk
The Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey & Trainer Championship Race saw a very promising sort in the Eddie Lynam trained Sole Power after he ran out a length and a quarter victory.
Pat Smullen produced the Kyllachy gelding to lead from over a furlong out and kept on strongly close home to hold off James Nash's Luisant
Winning trainer Lynam said afterwards: "We have been very easy on him. We will never run him over six furlongs again we'll keep him over five furlongs."
"He came up against a very good horse in Artic over six furlongs last time out but I just couldn't believe a horse could beat him that far."
"We've changed his training routine in that he's in a companion barn and he hasn't worked with any other horses, we've just breezed him."
