The Eddie Lynam trained Miss Power won on her handicap debut at Naas today, coming from off the pace to win the www.naasracecourse.com Handicap under jockey Robbie Downey.
Miss Power made good late headway inside the final furlong and in the end scored a head win over Go Kart leaving the daughter of Zebedee with a 66% race-record, having won her previous start, her second, in a Navan maiden last october.
Lynam today stated “she looked okay treated off 75 for winning a maiden but my concern before the race was that she didn't know as much as the others, they've been around the block time and time again.
“Robbie rode a super cool race. In fairness to him when you ask him to do something he always tries to do it, he rides well.
“When he asked her she answered and he got there in time. It's nice to get off the mark and they are a lucky set of colours (successful with Group 1 winners Sole Power and Slade Power)!”
