Lucky thirteen for Laviniad
Laviniad asserts under John Egan at Cork

The sire Lawman, on the mark earlier on the card with 33/1 winner Mandamus struck again on the soft ground programme when Laviniad shed her maiden tag in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) Handicap under John Egan at Cork.
Willie Mullins' charge, on start number thirteen, ran freely early but she improved to challenge two furlongs out.
Ridden to lead a furlong and a half out Laviniad was soon gone beyond recall and the well-backed 5/1 favourite (from 6s, bigger this morning) crossed the line two and three parts of a length to the good from Lady Giselle
Egan explained: "Joseph (O'Brien, rode her previous start) said that was her trip and in fairness he got it right. She has been running well all season.
"She travelled well and just idled a bit in front." (AM & EM)
