A daughter of first season sire, Kildangan Stud-based Vale Of York, Little Rooster became a first winner in this country for the stallion when landing the opener at Naas, the Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) Maiden.
Chris Hayes rode the 14/1 newcomer for Paul Deegan and Little Rooster proved three parts of a length and a neck too good for Toogoodtobetrue and the favourite, Sexy Legs (had every chance).
"She's a lovely filly. I didn't speak to the boss as he's away for a few days but I kept to the general plan to be handy and to do our best.
"She's been showing a good bit at home and we liked her. I think there should be a good bit of improvement in her.
"I thought the only thing that might be against her today might be the trip but she sharpened through the race.
.
"She'll improve and she's for sale." (GC & EM)
