The complexion of the two mile seven maiden hurdle at Downpatrick changed completely when Mr Groocock was pulled up abruptly by Ruby Walsh after jumping three out in the lead.
This left Little King Robin in the lead and she was ridden clear from the next hurdle to win easily by seven lengths at 11/2.
Successful handler Colin Bowe said: “She’s been running consistently and maybe she was due. She’ll maybe got for a handicap hurdle next.
“Mark said it’s not firm out there so she wasn’t afraid to gallop down the hill. She’s by a good sire (King’s Theatre).” Ultra Light took second for Robbie Hennessy at 25/1 and 7/1 shot Hold The Fire completed the placings for Mark Fahey.
Little King Robin won a point-to-point in Tyrella in March before moving on to bumpers and maiden hurdles. She was second in her last appearance in a Kilbeggan maiden hurdle to New River.
Native Court was a non runner due to sustaining a stone bruise.
