Shoulda Lied ran out an easy winner of the last at Tipperary, the Buy Online @TipperaryRaces Maiden Hurdle.

Without a win in nine starts on the level, the Willie Mullins trained four-year-old was fourth on his debut over flights at Downpatrick last month.

Sent off a 3/1 joint-favourite this evening, he raced in second under Paul Townend, improving into a share of the lead from four out.

He held a definite advantage as they bypassed the second last, and soon stretched clear, going on to score easily by nine and a half lengths in the colours of the Supreme Horse Racing Club.

Newcomer Time To Get Up (20/1) finished second under Shane Shortall for Joseph O'Brien, while Pocket Dial (9/1) was another length and a quarter back in third, for Paddy Kennedy and Jessica Harrington.

Achiever was the other joint-favourite, and he finished fourth.

Townend said afterwards: "He improved plenty for the run in the north and hopefully he can improve and be a bit of fun for the summer for them.

"He has got his head in front now and it can help bring him along now."
