Sleepy Head gained a fourth career success at Fairyhouse today as the Pat Flynn trained gelding landed the Fairyhouse June 14th Apprentice under jockey Ben Coen.
The son of Rip Van Winkle won three times in 2017 and while he failed to win last year, today quickened well in the closing stages to score a half length win over Royal Admiral
Jockey Coen starts his Leaving Certificate next Wednesday and following his latest winner said “I think he was getting a bit sick of Dundalk and the change of scenery probably did him good.”
